The accommodation was stunning, exactly as shown in the pictures. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and we were given a tour of the extensive and eco-friendly premises, which were lush. Additionally, the host was incredibly responsive and attentive. Definitely going back.

Ians place was lovely! Clean, place is cleaned daily, there’s a snack bar if you need food and it’s in a great location! Green, clean air! Pristine beach! Would recommend.

We loved the stay at Watamu Beach Cottages. The people who work here are very welcoming and helpful in a professional but loving way. The restaurant and swimming pool are very nice, as well as the garden. The food is tasteful though it is good to order before because it may take some time before the chefs finish te food. We stayed in laser cottage which is a nice little house with its own sheltered garden with seats. The house is cleaned on a daily basis. Be aware to close both doors because otherwise monkeys will come in the room to take your food. Towels for the swimming pool or beach are provided. You walk there directly from the cottages. So all together a loving, beautiful and peaceful place to relax or go for some adventures in the surrounding areas.

Nice and silent location next to the excellent beach.

Great flexibility. immaculate. access to outside campsite kitchen. cheap snackbar on site can get pasta for £6 approx. ac and good bed fan and mozzie net. a little more housekeeping flexibility would be good like the UK e.g a do not disturb sign, system to reuse towels to save water, they were always taken and changed. Nice viewpoints to relax in nearer sea. Great communcation

Schön gelegene Cottages (10-15min mit dem Tuktuk ins Zentrum) mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Justus & Grace, welche ein hervorragendes Team an der Rezeption und in der Küche bilden. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

The Watamu Beach Cottages was our favourite place to stay on our Kenya travels! So much nature, right by the ocean, a super relaxing place, beautiful view points, great pool area, clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food from their restaurant! What made this place extra special was the staff, they are all so friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home! We spent a lot of time at the Bar/Restaurant with Justus and Grace, two beautiful souls! Also Benjamin is a Great guy! Asante sana, we hope to see you again! Jolene & Vincent

A beautiful location right by the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful through out our stay. I needed to push back my check out and they were very accommodating.

The cottages are such a Gem, ideally located on the beach, with a pool and restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the cottages to all.

We stayed at Ian‘s place for a night on our way to Lamu and for another two nights on our way back. The Airbnb is in a great location right next to the beach and the on-site staff is amazing. The only thing we had to note is that the shower in our room was a bit impractical since you end up getting water all over the bathroom floor. Aside of that, this is a good and affordable option for your stay at Watamu beach.

Super nice place! We loved to hear the waves from our place while falling asleep. Good breakfast and super chef if you want to have lunch or dinner there! They also clean everyday the apartment. Perfect sport to enjoy the seaside and quietness and not far away from downtown.

Ian was a very friendly, helpful, flexible and responsive host. His team at the cottages are very experienced, helpful, kind, and attentive to visitors’ requests and needs. It was a great fit for accessing nearby activities (SUP and kayak trips, yoga, sand bar at low tide, birding, and a variety of restaurants.) I am grateful for such a wonderful stay—great value for money.

The host and staff were very friendly and the bnb is located right next to a beautiful beach. Definitely worth it!

We gad a wonderful stay at Ian’s Little Gem Cottage. The cottage is right in front of the shared and very beautifully situated swimming pool and just a a minutes walk to the beach (you can’t get any closer to the beach in Watamu!) Our kids freely wandered around the area and to the nearby sandbar in low tide. We enjoyed nearby activities, including snorkeling in the sanctuary, paddleboarding on Mida Creek and learning about reptiles at the local snake center (just 15 mins away)!

My partner and I had such an amazing time at Watamu Beach Cottages -- we will definitely be back! Thank you for such a fantastic stay.

We had a great time in the Chalet, with our own little kitchen to be 100% independent. There is direct access to the beach for the best kite surf spot in Watamu! Very peaceful place that I would recommend if you want an affordable place for a few days.

Die Unterkunft entsprach genau den Bildern, liegt wunderbar ruhig direkt am Strand und mitten in der Natur. Das bringt es mit sich, den ein oder anderen mehrbeinigen Besucher zu haben. Da ist Toleranz gefragt… Das Bad ist modern und geräumig, die Küche mit den notwendigen Utensilien ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit hier.

Watamu beach cottages is fantastic value for money. Steps away from the beach! Ian was a responsive host and he and his staff treated us above and beyond expectations.

Topaz is a wonderful place. We enjoyed it immensely. Just a very short walk to the beach. House girls clean the house daily. We didn't realize that there are several other apartments or houses also sharing the same property. This wasn't a big problem. I just had not noticed that fact. The tiny ants are a bit of a problem and will get into anything left on the counter, so make sure you have containers that seal very well for any food items. Otherwise, we loved the place and would definitely go back.

Es war sehr schön mitten in der Natur zuschlafen und dem Klang des Waldes zuzuhören. Sehr schöne Anlage, gute Erholungsmöglichkeiten am Strand. Ein Auto zuhaben ist von Vorteil. Für Kitesurfer wie wir ist die Unterkunft super geeignet. Wir würden definitiv wieder dort übernachten.

Palmengedecktes Ferienhaus, wenige Minuten vom Meer entfernt mit tollen Aussichtspunkten. Schöner Salzwasser Pool, der geteilt wird, umgeben von viel Grün, dadurch auch genug Schatten. Die beständige leichte Brise macht ein angenehmes Klima. Das Personal vor Ort ist sehr hilfreich, ein Koch kann dazu gebucht werden. Die vorhandene Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

We loved our stay at Watamu Beach Cottages! The whole property is gorgeous, there is a pool, a snack bar to get breakfast and dinner and viewpoints with lounge chairs overlooking the ocean and the beach! The pictures of the outside area definitely don’t do it justice! 🙂 There is a private beach access from the property and the beach is beautiful and was pretty empty in the beginning of June. The cottage is spacious and really cozy, we booked for three guests and there was a kingsized bed and a sofa/extra small bed for the third person. All the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and accommodated every request/question we had during our stay! We’d definitely come back 🙂

Beautiful setting. Everything you need.

That was the nicest place I stayed at in Watamu! It's well located close to the creek and the most beautiful beach. The cottage is beautiful and the staff amazing. I was also very surprised by the great Wi-Fi in the cottage. Did multiple speed tests during the day and speed was stable around 30 mbps. As a digital nomad very important to me, recommend as a work stay.

The cottages are beautiful and spacious, perfectly located on the beach with private access, and the cleaning staff are amazing! The bar is limited so best to bring your own liquor, and the food needs to be ordered well in advance. Other than those minor issues, everything was terrific.

LOVED our stay at Ian’s place. The accommodation was so beautiful and comfortable, the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the location was great. Few minutes by boda or tuktuk to Watamu center and close to Lichthaus and Temple Point. Excellent option, great value for the price! Oh, and get a massage with Rachel while your there. Maybe the best I’ve ever had, and again excellent value for the price point. (:

It's a lovely place, very quiet and safe. The staff is caring and helpful. The restaurant is very good especially the breakfast. it's just a few steps away from the beach and a few minutes walk from the Watamu marine reserve. Perfect to enjoy the best of Watamu. Thank you Ian!

Best place to stay in Watamu! The beach is vendor free and very peaceful. The cottage is well equipped for a short stay but if you plan on staying longer you might need to buy a couple more things. Benjamin who facilitated the check in was great and Ian was super responsive!
